More than 1 billion records are stolen from businesses each year and business leaders are woefully behind in their education about technology and security. Taking a business case approach, Breaching America educates executives, managers and staff on what it takes to better protect America's organizations from security breaches.
CardSystems, TJ Maxx, Global Payments, Target, The Home Depot, Anthem and Las Vegas Sands are all covered in detail so that organizations can learn from the pain others have endured over the last decade of security breaches.
Readers will come to understand the basic techniques used to siphon billions from Americans each year and simple steps to make the world more secure. Business leaders will also take away diagrams, checklists and formulas for developing a security strategy to address the digital threat. Staff will be educated on how they support security within the organization by avoiding common pitfalls that compromise themselves and their businesses.
